SACC supports the following resolution taken at the World Cat Congress Annual Meeting in 2015 “WCC neither promotes nor approves the presence of wild feline species in connection with a cat show.”

The SACC delegates and executive met in Johannesburg on 17 March to discuss a variety of matters.
SACC is very concerned that its breeders should be acting responsibly so, when Jane Goble sent out the letter to Burmese breeders, it seemed appropriate to publish it widely.
This year WCC seminar was attended by WCC President, WCC Vice-President, the Executive Secretary and Treasurer and 8 delegates of the 9 WCC members. Unfortunately the New Zealand Cat Fancy could not send a delegate this year, due to major losses being experienced in the cat fancy during and after the devastating earthquakes on the South Island in 2011.

I think it only apt that my first task as your new President is to thank Jan van Rooyen for his sterling work over the past four years especially for the wonderful relationship he has cultivated with our principal sponsor Royal Canin.
