What titles can a cat be awarded?

In addition to the longstanding titles of Champion/Premier, Grand Champion/Premier and Supreme Champion/Premier, the SACC Cat of the Year Rules and Show Rules also make provision for four other
titles:

  • National Winner (NW),
  • National Qualifier (NQ),
  • Regional Winner (RW) and
  • Regional Qualifier.

How do I become a judge at cat shows?

The intial criteria to be a judge:

  • Be over the age of 21 years at commencement of course
  • Be a paid up member of at least one of the recognised clubs affiliated to SACC.
  • Have completed at least 8 satisfactory stewarding assignments at recognised cat shows

Promising stewards may be invited to submit a CV.

How do cat registration numbers work?

  • Since July 1999, all kittens are registered with a numerical code.
  • The old SA/SR/VP/RR system is no longer applicable.
  • "Old" codes allocated prior to July 1999 will still work.
  • Continue to see the breakdown of the registration number
