The Northern Cape / Free State Cat Club

The Northern Cape / Free State Cat Club is affiliated to SACC and is situated in Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
The club membership is open to all cat lovers from all over South Africa. You do not have to own a pedigree cat to be a member of any cat club. You just need to love cats and be interested in anything cat-related.
We also hold championship shows annually. 7 cats from our region qualify at our shows to attend the Cat of the Year show (COTY) each year:
2 Household pets (unregistered cat), 1 kitten (pedigreed kitten), 2 Entires (breeding pedigreed cats) and 2 Neuters (sterilized pedigreed cats) from the Northern Cape/Free State region take part in this prestigious event as our club's representatives annually.

We have 7 Member Clubs located throughout South Africa.

Club Committee members are nominated by the club membership and the Office Bearers are chosen by the Committee at the first meeting following the club's AGM.

The Committee is responsible for the day to day running of the club and for hosting and running cat shows. Every club has a delegate, who represents the club at Governing Council.

There are 3 clubs in Gauteng-  Rand Cat Club, Cat Fanciers Club and Transvaal Cat Society.

The other 4 clubs are Western Province Cat Club in Cape Town, Eastern Cape Cat Club in Gqeberha, Provincial Cat Society in Pietermaritzburg and Northern Cape/Free State Cat Club in Kimberley.
