BURMESE ANYONE?

The Burmese certainly shows that it is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to taking best in show and those coveted titles at Cat of the Year. They are sturdy, well muscled, extremely affectionate and playful cats- and of course there are those golden eyes with a shape which is unique to the breed- giving the cat that special "Burmese look"!

There is always one that believes posing for the camera is boring! Delightful Lilac Burmese kittens bred by Jane Goble of Mela Cattery in Pietermaritzburg. Private photographer.

Burmese can be brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, cream and brown, chocolate, lilac and blue tortoiseshell. Their pattern is Burmese pointed- there are no tabby or silver/golden Burmese within SACC. A well groomed Burmese coat is amazing to feel and look at.

Is it a big hairy spider? Is it a big ugly green worm? Or is it supercat flying to rescue owner Jane Goble? Whatever it is it is a fantastic photo. Thanks to Jane Goble of Mela Cattery and her photographic skills.
