JUDGES
This is the Governing Body for Judges and is accredited to SACC. Judges must choose to belong to one of the five recognized SACC Judge Panels which make up the Judges Council. Each panel, on a 3 yearly rotational basis, is responsible for all administration aspects of Judges Council as well as being required to organize a General Meeting, Symposium and Workshop at the end of its tenure.

SACC’S JUDGE PANELS
Each of the five Panels is autonomous and determines its own method of administration, trainee acceptance and training.
1. Cape Panel of Cat Judges Operational base is in the Western Cape.
2. Cat Judges Inc. Panel Operational base is in Gauteng.
3. Gauteng Panel of Judges Operational base is in Gauteng.
4. Independent Judges Network Operational base is provincially cyber networked.
5. Kwa-Zulu Natal Panel of Judges Operational base is in KwaZulu Natal.

JUDGE EDUCATION
After extensive training a SACC trainee judge is examined on theoretical knowledge of the breed/s being studied, followed by practical assessment of the breed/s. Thereafter a period of probation judging, determined by their training panel, will be undertaken; upon satisfactory culmination of this probation period, the trainee will be qualified to judge at SACC Championship Shows.
JUDGING CATEGORIES
SACC has 4 Pedigree Judging Categories plus the Household Pet Category.
Persian/Exotic (P/E)
Refer to Standard of Points for colours and patterns accepted. Also in this category is the Chinchilla Longhair, a breed unique to SACC
Medium Hair Breeds (MH)
Refer to the Standard of Points for Breeds.
Siamese/Oriental (S/O)
Refer to the Standard of Points for colours and patterns accepted. Also in this category are the Balinese and Oriental Medium Hair.
Foreign Breeds (FOR)
Refer to the Standard of Points for Breeds.
